Refund & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for using LawCrust’s Litigation Finance platform. Below are our terms regarding cancellations, refunds, and financial obligations related to your application.

1. Paid Consultation Fee

The paid consultation fee is consideration for the time and expertise of our Credit & Underwriting Team in conducting an escalated review of your matter. It is non-refundable, except where expressly credited against processing and evaluation fees following funding approval.

Where a claim is subsequently approved for funding, the entire consultation fee is credited against your processing and evaluation charges.

You may reschedule a booked consultation up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no additional charge. If you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled time and the consultation has not taken place, you may request a refund within 7 days of payment. Once the consultation has taken place, or where notice of less than 24 hours is given, the fee is not refundable, as the reviewer’s time has been reserved and applied to your matter.

Payment of the consultation fee does not guarantee that your claim will be accepted for funding, approved for due diligence, or offered any financing arrangement, and it is not the only or final fee payable in connection with a funding application. Any subsequent charges will be communicated to you in advance, together with the applicable terms.

2. Eligibility Assessment Fees

If applicable, the initial fee paid for deep-dive case assessment and due diligence is generally non-refundable once the assessment process has commenced, as resources, expert reviewers, and legal counsel are engaged upon receipt of payment.

3. Cancellation Prior to Funding Agreement

You may withdraw your application for litigation finance at any time before signing the final Funding Agreement. If you cancel during this stage and have paid any deposits that have not yet been utilized for services rendered, you may request a refund. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment. The paid consultation fee is governed by Section 1 above and is not refundable once the consultation has taken place.

4. Post-Agreement Refund Limitations

Once the Funding Agreement is signed and funds have been deployed or legal services have commenced, cancellations cannot be processed, and no refunds will be granted. By proceeding with the agreement, you commit to our non-recourse terms specifically tailored for your case.

5. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days to the original payment method used to process the transaction. Variations caused by bank clearing times may apply.

6. Rejection of Application

If LawCrust formally declines funding of your case after receiving any initial fees, a full or partial refund of processing fees will be provided based on the terms stipulated during payment.
