The Advocate Network
Fund My Case is not a law firm. Legal services on funded matters are provided by independent advocates empanelled with the platform. Empanelment is a vetting and coordination arrangement, advocates remain professionally independent, are paid brief fees in the ordinary course, and owe their duties to the client and the court.
Executive Summary
Funding a claim is pointless if the matter is then run without discipline. The advocate network exists so that funded matters are conducted by vetted counsel, in the right forum, with continuity, instead of depending on whoever happened to be available.
The structure is deliberately conservative: advocates are independent, fee arrangements follow professional conduct rules, and the platform's role is coordination and monitoring, never the practice of law.
How empanelment works
- 1
Selection
Advocates are evaluated on forum experience, subject-matter depth and professional standing before empanelment.
- 2
Matching
Each funded matter is matched to counsel by forum, geography and dispute type, not by rotation.
- 3
Engagement
The client engages the advocate; professional duties run to the client and the court, not to the funder.
- 4
Brief-fee structure
Advocates are paid brief fees in the ordinary course. Contingency fees are not permitted for advocates in India, and the model does not rely on them.
- 5
Quality control
Hearing discipline, filing timeliness and strategy adherence are monitored across the matter's life.
- 6
Continuity
If counsel must change, the transition is managed so the matter does not lose institutional memory.
